At our pre-birth appointments she helped educate me on pain management options, helpful labor positions and flesh out areas of my birth plan I hadn't considered. During those pre birth appointments, she also helped me feel confident and ready to take on birth no matter what happened. I was able to share some of my concerns about birth/postpartum, and make a game plan of how to tackle those obstacles as they came. During labor and birth Geniel was my advocate. When into labor, Geniel was there for me, assisting in so many ways; bringing drinks, massaging feet/head, helping me into different positions, getting nurses/midwife when needed, helping me breathe through contractions and relax my pelvic floor. I felt seen, taken care of. She also checked in on me postpartum to see how I was doing and recap the birth experience. It was so nice to have a chance to talk about it with her, and know she was there to support me even in the fourth trimester. My pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum experience were all so much better because I had Geniel on my team. I 100% recommend having Geniel as your doula in any birth situation. .”

She was very accommodating with our schedule and made things very easy. She incorporated a great balance between education on anatomy, the process of labor, and pain relief techniques. I have read through her handout multiple times in preparation for birth. I loved the tips, tricks, and suggestions she gave for working through labor pains on my own and with my husband. I am not one that is all in for natural birth or all in for an epidural and I feel that Geniel gave me information for both sides to help me make my own decision.
